Abe has a clinical practice working with individuals, couples, and their families in his office in Thornhill, Ontario (near Toronto), Canada. As well, he works with numerous individuals and couples around the world using the phone and Zoom.
Abe is the publisher of GoSmartLife self-help educational programs. Abe has authored eighteen self-help books and hundreds of self-help articles.
Abe is a graduate of Norwich University in Vermont, where he received his interdisciplinary masters degree in Social Work and Family Therapy. He also has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California where he graduated with honors. He successfully completed his internship at Jewish Family and Child Service in Toronto and the George Hull Center for Children and Families in Etobicoke.
He is a former part-time professor of psychology at the Beth Jacob Academy of Higher Learning in Toronto. He is a steady contributor to local newspapers, writing as an authority on personal and family life, and is frequently reprinted in other publications throughout North America. Occasionally, he gives public lectures.
Abe is married and has seven children. He has too many grandchildren to count!
